Jenelle P, Owner, Groomer
I have loved animals from a young age and always aspired to be a veterinarian. As I grew up and realized that wasn’t for me, I refocussed my career and achieved a Bachelors of Environmental Studies with a Major in Wildlife Management. I have a unique background working on the Peregrine Falcon recovery program in Manitoba and have worked at mitigating the gull population using both hawks and falcons. While in University I developed my love for grooming and since then I have attained the title of Canadian Canine Intermediate Stylist Technician (CCST1-Int) a Certified Pet Groomer from the Canadian Professional Pet Stylists (CPPS) along with having Canadian Canine Stylist Technician (CCST1).
I have been an active member of the Professional Pet Groomers Association of Manitoba (PPGAM) since 2013. I have attended many educational seminars here in Winnipeg that were put on by the PPGAM. I have also travelled out of town for shows including SuperZoo in Las Vegas in 2013, Mastergroom Canada in Calgary in 2016 and Groom Expo in Hershey, Pennsylvania in 2017.
I own three CKC registered Finnish Lapphunds named Olli, Elara and Eevee. Olli is a Canadian Champion, has the title of Canine Good Neighbour, and passed many obedience classes. Elara also has her Canadian Championship. Eevee is still in training and has a few points towards her championship, she also has her advanced trick title.
I am also the Manitoba representative for the Finnish Lapphund club of Canada and a member of Canadian Kennel Club. I have renewed my Certificate for Animal First Aid, CPR, Artificial Respiration and Airway Obstruction in 2022.
Lauren C, Groomer
Lauren began her grooming career in 2017 and got her Canadian Canine Intermediate Stylist Technician (CCST1-Int) as well as Canadian Canine Stylist Technician (CCST1). She continued her education by attending many seminars, and in 2019, she passed her level 2 practical on short-legged terriers with a master's score. She is a member os the PPGAM, CPPS and the CKC.
She loves grooming Golden Retrievers and her favorite type of haircut to do is Asian fusion.
When she's not grooming, she is busy spending time with her Golden Retriever, Lucy, and her cat named Sia.
Her newest addition is Moo, an English Springer Spaniel who is a very energetic boy who has received some points towards his Championship at dog shows and is in training with many different obedience classes. She also enjoys traveling and yoga.
Brandy D, Receptionist, Nail Tech & Deshed Queen
Brandy is our lovely receptionist who helps keep our days running smoothly.
Brandy is a crazy dog lady. She is always fostering and foster-failing dogs.
Her latest foster-fail is Phillip, who you can usually find lounging around under our front desk of the shop.
When Brandy isn’t working you can find her crafting, everything from painting to sewing. She loves reading and going on hiking adventures in the summer.
Shanyce M, Groomer
Shaynce started grooming at a corporate salon over 10 years ago. Her favorite breed to groom is Poms.
Shaynce is excited about continuing her grooming education.
Shaynce has 2 beautiful children and 3 dogs. Tucker (Pomeranian.) Keeley, (Australian terrier mix) and Millie (Shepard mix)
When Shaynce isn’t grooming, you can find her hanging out with her husband and kids, reading or catching up on her Netflix shows.
Avouri K, Groomer
Avouri started grooming at a corporate salon about 3 years ago. Her favorite breed to groom is Bichons and Schnauzers.
She plans to continue her grooming education.
Avouri has a dog, Parker, a big cuddly Bernese Mountain dog. She has a real soft spot for the giant breeds.
When Avouri isn’t grooming she is studying for her bachelors in Criminal Justice.
She enjoys all outdoor activities. You can usually find her at the cabin in the summer and snowboarding in the winter.
